Product Care Guide

A little gentle care helps protect your handmade pieces. Follow any instructions supplied with your item first. If you are unsure about a material or finish, contact us at KOFA Creative Studio before cleaning.

Pine-needle baskets

  • Handle gently: Support the base with both hands when carrying. Avoid lifting by decorative details, pulling the stitching, or overfilling.
  • Clean dry: Remove loose dust with a soft, dry brush, using light strokes. Do not soak, rinse, scrub, or apply household cleaners, oils, or sprays.
  • Keep dry: Protect from splashes, damp rooms, direct sunlight, and heat sources. If the basket becomes damp, gently blot (do not rub) and allow it to air-dry completely. Never use a hair dryer.
  • Storage: Keep in a dry place where the basket will not be crushed. Avoid sealing it in plastic. For best results, store in an archival box.

Beaded jewelry

  • Wear with care: Put jewelry on only after lotions and perfume have fully dried. Remove before bathing, swimming, exercising, or sleeping. Avoid pulling or over-stretching the threads.
  • Clean gently: Wipe lightly with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth after wear. Do not soak or use ultrasonic cleaners, steam, abrasives, or chemical jewelry dips.
  • Manage moisture and tarnish: Keep dry and away from chemicals. If metal components discolor, use a jewelry polishing cloth.
  • Store separately: Lay flat or place in an individual soft pouch to reduce tangles and scratches.

Art prints

  • Handle by the edges: Use clean, dry hands and support the entire sheet. Avoid touching the printed surface, bending corners, or placing objects on top.
  • Keep dry: Never apply water, sprays, or cleaning solutions directly to the print. Do not rub the printed surface. For framed prints, apply any cleaner to a soft cloth first—never spray toward the frame or artwork.
  • How to Display: Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture, condensation, and heat sources.
  • Store flat: Keep in a clean, dry location, ideally between sheets of acid-free tissue or in an archival sleeve/box to protect the surface. Do not fold or place adhesive tape directly on the print.
